App development

App Development

Though the team is largely based in Bath, many work from home. They work on the development of the Living With app and Squeezy. On a day-to-day basis they design, write and test code for all app features, including the pacing of patients through programmes. They carry out user testing to inform how they display material to make the experience as intuitive as possible for the patient. What’s more, they work closely with the platform development team to fix bugs, update the software and develop new features.

Support

Here, they cover customer and technical support. The team is in-place to ensure every user of the platform has their queries answered in a timely manner. On a daily basis they respond to customer queries, flag any unexpected app issues with the development teams and collate user feedback for service reviews.

Sales

Sales

Our mobile sales team identifies key stakeholders within the digital transformation of the healthcare sector. They are the initial contact for clinics, and continue to be so up until their on-boarding. They help healthcare providers identify areas of the platform that can help their clinic. They also pitch products to a wider range of stakeholders and work with the marketing team to create promotional materials.

Marketing

Marketing

They manage social media platforms, newsletters and other marketing materials. They work closely with senior management on presentations that are delivered to clinics and 3rd party bodies. They also work with writers to identify key findings in scientific reports on Living With’s products.

Product management

Product Management

This team oversees the creation of products: from conception to completion. They work closely with clinicians and researchers on the app’s medical resources. They also ensure that product-related tasks are completed on time and to budget. Moreover, they run quality-control checks to optimise product usability.

Operations

Operations

This team manages the day-to-day running of the business. They make sure teams are working in unison, they check budgets and timelines are being met across the business, and they implement performance-improvement strategies: for example, they organise the tweaking of existing products to make sure they reflect up-to-date guidance.

UX/UI

UX/UI

They design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces, working closely with the development teams to ensure designs are feasible: from icons to app layout. They adhere to best usability and accessibility practice, and to further optimise products, they validate designs through user testing. They also make sure deliverables abide by brand guidelines.

Meet some of the team

Working at Living With has given me a challenging, varied and interesting role, for which I feel valued and appreciated. I love that our team is creating products that really help people and can make a difference to people’s everyday lives. Team members are friendly, helpful and creative. The hybrid of home and office working gives me a great balance.

Amy, Finance Manager

I really enjoy working at a tech-for-good company alongside a caring and talented team. It has been very challenging at times as we’ve navigated many different priorities. I have been exposed to lots of new problems in the healthcare industry, and I thoroughly enjoy helping to solve these issues by producing new, exciting and novel solutions. One of the most enjoyable aspects of working at Living With has been the opportunity to get involved in any aspect of the business as we share responsibilities and learn from one another.

James, Head of Development

I like that I’m working on things that can make a positive impact on people’s lives. Working for a close-knit company has benefits: it’s easier for your voice to be heard and for your opinions to matter more compared to in larger organisations. Our development team strives to maintain code quality because, in addition to working in a highly regulated industry, the company understands the false economy and long term impact of “quick and dirty” code. Automated tests and code review are an integral part of our development process. We have a close-knit development team. Despite some people working 100% remotely, we maintain a ‘virtual office’ audio/video setup so people don’t feel isolated when WFH. Also, Bath is a lovely city to work in! The company having its own office building is a plus (compared to a shared space). The flexibility of being able to work from home when needed is also nice.

Liam, Principle Mobile Developer

The team is really close. I can easily ask questions and get good answers quickly. It has been a really good environment to work in. The team is very focused on what makes our product great. They focus on the experience of our clinicians and patients using our platform and apps.

Max, Support Analyst

It’s delightful to work on products that can support hundreds of thousands of people to measure and improve their health conditions. In order to deliver first class products and services, all the teams in Living With work closely together and take product quality seriously. In the development team we have flexible work time. People are connected. It’s easy to find help whenever needed. We have fairly good test coverage and we are constantly improving code readability, reusability and maintainability.
