Covid Recovery
Clinician feedback
Issues that arise post-COVID are multifactorial and often debilitating. For each person we are able to take a holistic approach to their treatment and provide a personalised plan via the tool, including frequent monitoring and ongoing communication.
Physiotherapist Hannah Hylton, St Bartholomew’s Hospital
The mental health component of the digital tool is just as important as the physical, and we are finding that the symptoms are often interrelated – for instance, if you’re feeling anxious you may be less likely to eat well, which may lead to further tiredness, which further impacts your mood and so on. A core feature of the recovery tool is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) delivered by psychologists to help with anxiety.

You can see week by week you are getting better. It’s helped to see how you’ve improved because sometimes it’s not easy to see how you are feeling.

It’s really thorough and guides you through advice and a really good way of tracking recovery and identifying problems. Makes you feel not alone in recovery process and illness is understood.

Five months after having Covid, I was still feeling very breathless and easily tired - even walks could frustratingly leave me coughing and wheezing. I started using the Living With Covid Recovery App in August 2020 and have found it very helpful in tracking my progress and building up my activity levels.
One of the most important aspects for me is the connection to support and advice from my own physiotherapist through the app, which has helped reassure me and feel that I'm not alone.

Pelvic Health
Clinician feedback
Living With Pelvic Health has made it much easier to follow up patients’ progress using the clinician interface. The summary adherence view is very useful. It has made my job easier in managing patients and increased my satisfaction that patients are getting better faster.
Rachel House, Senior Women’s Health Physio at WWL
Initial signs are that patients feel connected with the service in a way that they never have before. They feel we are watching what they do and are interested in their progress. All the patients have raved about its effectiveness without prompting. Patients are more engaged with treatment and [I am] seeing better compliance in capturing data.

[Living With Pelvic Health is] easy to access, send invites and view the results. Very important when you’re busy.

Yes I was definitely more motivated to do my exercises with the app, especially as the physiotherapist has shown me my activity on the screen, also knowing they could monitor my activity, this encouraged me to keep at it consistently.
Patient at Northern Trust
This app is incredible, well worth the money. I am staying dedicated to my exercises and I can track my progress and visibly tell when things are getting easier. Pelvic floor issues can absolutely destroy your health, confidence and quality of life. I am so thankful I'm able to get a little bit of that back every day.

Having been diagnosed with prostate cancer I was advised to perform pelvic floor exercises prior to my operation. This app was recommended as a great reminder throughout the day. I certainly wouldn’t have kept to a schedule without it. Does everything I want and you can configure a plan that suits you. Love the diary and record of exercises completed. Would thoroughly recommend.

They like the fact that we can push all the appointments through on there, and they’ve got it on their phone and they can scroll through. Rather than having lots of pieces of paper around, or searching through their emails, they can bring up the app and it’s there.
Cancer nurse specialist, Barnet Hospital
The patients have received it really well, they really, really like it.

There are two aspects to this. I think it will save time, if we’re putting articles and appointments on [. What’s more,] you don’t have to make a telephone call, you don’t then have to put things in the post to them: so you’re saving money, as well.
[Also,] I think it encourages us, actually, to give more information. A lot of [patients] have read articles that we wouldn’t necessarily have given them, and they’ve found that useful.

I find referring to it very helpful and reassuring. Really a comfort to be able to make recall as and when necessary because this condition can make you feel isolated and uncertain about your own situation.

Rheumatology
Clinician feedback
I have been using the LWRA platform for the past two years in my rheumatology clinics. The app and clinical platform has been a game-changer in terms of how I am able to offer remote and face-to-face consultations [...] Patients are more satisfied as we don’t need to spend ages trying to find out what the problems are.
It has also meant we can streamline our biologics clinics so we can offer virtual e-consults with patients who are doing well, and means we don’t need to call or see them if they report that they are doing well and their bloods are ok [...] the data can help me understand exactly when the problems started and which joints are affected and help me offer specific advice without always having to call the patient.
