Bladder & Bowel Case Studies
Lewisham and Greenwich
Lewisham and Greenwich have been using all six of Living With’s bladder and bowel products throughout the Covid pandemic (2020-2022).
“The platform is very helpful in helping us become paper light, while also enabling faster return of bladder and bowel diaries with clear documentation. Also, the two-way messaging supports patient and clinician communication.” – Lead clinician
Outcomes
The clinicians found the products helpful in monitoring patients and working towards the following aims:
- Deliver quicker care and better prevention, as well as to connect more efficiently with secondary and community care.
- Integrate physiotherapists and nurses across three teams and four sites by following one set of pathways.
- Hope to use Squeezy Connect as an early implementer site for the NHS peri-natal pelvic health project.
- Interested in trialling other digital solutions via the Living With platform e.g. for catheter care and removal.

Cardiff University Hospital
‘Having access to the Living With Faecal Incontinence app (in 2019) has been transformational for our service. It has provided insights and follow up to patients. Patients have been provided with conservative management of their condition through the use of pelvic floor muscle exercises (facilitated through the Squeezy Connect app).’ – Lead clinician.
Outcomes
- 60% increase in patient compliance with their treatment programmes.
- Patients feel better connected with the service knowing that there is regular support and proactive monitoring of symptoms and side effects.
- Being able to follow patients very closely during conservative treatment, surgery and rehabilitation post-surgery has led to fundamental changes to our care pathways.
- The improvement in follow up for SNS surgical patients has led to an 18% increase in patient satisfaction post-surgery.
